Thanks to the wide fields of vision of the new MRIs, and fast acquisition time sequences, the MRI has become a good tool for the study of the digestive system, very useful in diseases such as Crohn's Syndrome.
For this study it is necessary that the patient follows a specific diet that we will provide in our center 1 week prior to the scan. Once the patient is in our center to perform the test, he/she must first drink a preparation of water and contrast, and after waiting 30 minutes, he/she will go to the machine. This test also requires the injection of intravenous contrast.
This scan usually lasts 30-40 minutes. The patient has a buzzer that can be pressed at any time if he/she needs to communicate with the MRI technician.
